The CRF450R's new engine and muffler setup gave us the opportunity to create an entirely new system built

specifically for the new CRF450 machines.

Yoshimura worked tirelessly on development with American Honda HRC engineers to achieve maximum performance and mass centralization,

to optimize the usability of the pilot.

Yoshimura accomplished all of this by moving the new RS-9T mufflers forward to tuck them under the side plates.

Working with HRC race engineers and the all new 449cc Unicam engine and its unique downdraft fuel injection system,

Yoshimura was able to provide an exhaust that provides more tractable horsepower and improved torque.

Some features of the new CRF450R/RX system with dual RS-9T conical mufflers include:

Dyno and track tested by Honda R&D in Japan, American Honda MX Team and HRC All Japan MX Racing Team

The 3-stage header offers a wider overall range of horsepower and throttle response

New tailpipe divider creates smoother exhaust flow and improved velocity to left and right tailpipe

New compact forward-positioned RS-9T twin muffler design offers a lower center of gravity for better mass centralization

The larger RS-9T core creates better throttle response and power in the mid to top range

The new RS-9T mufflers have a higher volume than stock to provide a decrease in overall noise level in dB

Works with or without Honda's new optional electric start system
