The racing air box duct designed and manufactured by Sprint Filter with integrated dashboard for Yamaha R1 is the result of a detailed optimization thanks to computational fluid dynamics.

The reconstruction of the duct led to the high pressure drop localized in the input data, each zone of the hydraulic section was corrected from the acute radius of the original inlet, as well as its linearization from inlet to outlet.

Flow gaps and stalls have been removed, resulting in a more laminar flow field and less load.

The integrated dashboard gives the ability to prevent its fixings from sticking to the flow path reduced by possible turbulence.

The sum of these details gives a 3% increase in dynamic pressure at the outlet of the duct, while the use of high strength, high modulus carbon fiber reduces the weight by 40% compared to the standard assembly.

Various tests on the engine bench with dedicated mapping and Sprint Filter P08F1-85 air filter achieved a significant increase in power along the entire engine curve.

The track test was carried out with our technical development team who confirmed all the advantages by plotting a maximum speed of + 4 km / h using only the Sprint Filter racing duct.

The carbon fiber intake pipe and dashboard support are only compatible with aftermarket racing fairings (incompatible with OEM headlights, street and original fairings, turn signals, etc.).
